I work for a company called Altura Homes based in Rockwall Texas where they build and sell new homes. My role at the company is in sales and overlook one of the communities we build in.

What got me into this type of car scene was YouTube. I was originally into car audio and would go to competitions but ended up getting burnt out. I randomly started watching a YouTube channel called KingsMustRise, he was the biggest inspiration for me getting into stance builds.

There are multiple reasons why I picked the FRS to build the look of the car, how it handles, and watch other FRS builds on YouTube, I also already had a vision of how I wanted the car before I even purchased it. So, I went to the dealership already knowing I was going to build this car. I had parts saved in my browser before I even bought the car. I just wanted a car that was unique and that you did not see a lot of at the time.

What does it feel like to own and drive my car? That is a hard question to answer. I take pride in what I have built because of all the small details I put into it, but at the same time I am never happy with it, there is always something to improve upon. As far as how it feels to drive, it is fun to see the looks on people's faces when they see the car on the road but physically even though it is bagged it is very rough!

I did not buy the 2013 or 2014 models. These had the most issues luckly I have not run into any major issues that a lot of owners get early on which I suspect is due to poor maintenance and beating on the car. My car currently has 140K miles on it with no issues. Also, do your research on the car first before you buy it and if the corners of the front bumper sag, look to see if the car has been in an accident.

My tip for modifying this car is always to start with the interior and work your way out. Also, do research on what you want to buy there are a lot of parts and brands out there that have horrible fitment. Well besides, it being a Whataburger-themed car which would be the main thing that makes the car stand out

I have done work on the car, but I also had help from friends and shops who I also consider friends. FlamingDirt on Instagram did all my powder coating, Midnightcustom rebuilt my wheels, installed my roll cage and control arms, also did all my adjustments to get perfect fitment and more. Swan Vynal Works did all my decals. He also made the design that is on the inside of my car for the interior pieces. M&J Auto did the bodywork and respray for the car. Everything else I installed myself like the airlift system, the sound system and basically everything on the inside of my car.

Future Plans

I do have future custom parts currently being made. Currently, I am waiting for my custom taillights, custom carbon fibre interior pieces and custom headlights. I eventually would go wide body with the car, but I am not sure how far into the future that will be.

Shout Outs

I am on a team based in Texas called @InMotion. We have another chapter which is in the Midwest Aswell. As far as recommending teams, we have a lot in Texas some are large, some are small and some win more than others. If you are looking to join a team, I recommend joining a team that your vibe with. The team will turn into a 2nd family and if you don’t vibe with the people around you will not enjoy it as much. As far as the different teams go there are ABG hunters, Divine, Diverse, Elevate and HiDef just to name a few.

It has brought me new friends and opportunities. The team I am on I’ve been with them for 4 years and they are more like family. We help each other out no matter what it is. I’ve made a lot of friends outside the team as well you see the same people a lot at shows, so you naturally begin friendships with a lot of them as well. I have also become friends with owners of the shops I get some of my work done at and recommend them to anyone that needs work done. It has also brought me sponsorships and new opportunities I never thought were possible.

Dream Car

My dream car is a 1960 El Camino. I don’t think many people that know me would think that’s my dream car. I’ve always wanted one even before I got into cars, but I specifically want it baby blue with an all-white interior. I would go crazy and stance it even though it would be cool I just want it to be an OEM+ feel to it
