A Passion for Cars and Life

My name is Brett van der Schyff, and I’m a 35-year-old clinical psychologist from South Africa. I find joy in the simpler pleasures of life, and I’m deeply passionate about uplifting and supporting others. In my free time, I enjoy running, which helps me maintain a balance between mental and physical fitness amidst my busy schedule.

Growing up, I was surrounded by various vehicles in their element—whether it was drag racing, drifting, or track events. This exposure ignited my love for cars, which I now see as works of art. I take great pleasure in watching others build their dream vehicles, slowly working toward their goals.

The Audi S3: A Dream Realized

Since first experiencing the thrill of driving the Audi S3 in "Need for Speed Shift," I knew it was a car I wanted to own. After some time, I finally made that dream a reality by purchasing a 2007 Bagged Audi S3 8P.

Performance Modifications

My Audi has undergone several basic engine modifications to enhance its performance. These include:

Revo Stage 2 Plus Tuning
Downpipe
Carbon Fiber Intake
R8 Coil Packs
Upgraded Fuel Pump

With these upgrades, my Audi now boasts an impressive performance with 253 kW and 503 Nm of torque.

Sound System Setup

To complement the car's performance, I focused on creating an exceptional sound experience. The audio system features Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers in both the front and rear, along with two ten-inch P1 woofers, all powered by a five-channel MB Quartz amplifier. My goal was to achieve top-notch sound quality, and I believe I’ve succeeded.

Interior and Exterior Customizations

The interior of my Audi showcases numerous custom carbon fiber and fiberglass elements, including the door panels, seats, and boot installation. On the exterior, I have added custom-made carbon fiber parts, such as the lips, rear diffuser, side skirts, and rear wing. The unique paint job features a stunning blend of blue, purple, and white flakes, making my car stand out on the road.

I invested a lot of time and effort into customizing my Audi to reflect my personal style. One of my favorite aspects is the fluttering sound of the wastegate as I shift gears; it’s a soothing yet attention-grabbing sound. The car feels agile and responsive, truly a pocket rocket. I can confidently say that I don’t plan on selling her anytime soon.

Build List and Specifications

Currently, my Audi rides on 18-inch BBS CH-R wheels. The suspension setup includes Airlift struts paired with Airlift 3P management and an Accuair Endo CT system.

Craftsmanship and Collaboration

The incredible work on my Audi was done by Jason from Sevens Customz and Marlon from Marleys Garage, both of whom have become good friends. Their craftsmanship is nothing short of amazing, and I’m grateful for their dedication to my project.

Future Plans for My Audi S3

Looking ahead, I plan to remove the air ride and sound system to focus on enhancing the driving experience. I’m also considering adding more engine modifications to increase the power figures further.
